Two Observations

TWO OBSERVATIONS ABOUT “UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE”

After many years of discussing the “universal terms” found in the bible I have two observations:

  1. Anyone who takes the time to soberly examine how the word of God uses the words "all", "every", and "world" will conclude that they do not always design "all of humanity", "every person” or "everyone in the world." These terms are not absolute in a great many instances.

  2. There are few Christians who engage in this sober examination and fewer still who upon completion are willing to accept the unavoidable theological conclusions that attend the result of this exercise.

"Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you." (Acts 13:40-41)
